Reddam House Berkshire

Reddam House Berkshire celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2026, but its story stretches much further back. Set within the historic Bearwood Mansion, once home to the Walters family, owners of The Times newspaper, the school combines a remarkable heritage with a forward-thinking educational philosophy. As the flagship UK school of the Inspired Education Group, Reddam House has grown significantly over the past decade and today educates around 800 pupils from six months to eighteen years old.

While academic achievement remains central to the school’s success, Reddam House is distinguished by its commitment to developing the whole child. In 2025, the school ranked among the top 10% nationally for value-added performance, reflecting the exceptional progress students make throughout their educational journey. Yet the school’s philosophy extends beyond examination results, placing equal importance on confidence, curiosity, resilience and character.

Students benefit from 125 acres of beautiful grounds, access to more than 100 weekly clubs and a thriving sporting programme that will be further enhanced by the completion of a major new sports complex in July 2026. The performing arts are equally prominent, with a professional-grade theatre hosting more than 30 student productions each year. These experiences help students develop leadership, teamwork and self-belief alongside academic excellence.

Reddam House students progress to leading universities across the UK, including Oxbridge, as well as prestigious institutions throughout Europe and beyond. Increasing numbers also secure highly competitive apprenticeships with respected organisations, reflecting the school’s belief that success can take many forms.

Perhaps the school’s greatest strength, however, is its community. Dedicated staff work closely with ambitious families to ensure every child feels known, supported and encouraged to fulfil their potential. It is a culture that promotes high expectations without undue pressure, enabling young people to grow into balanced, articulate and confident individuals.

As Reddam House enters its second decade, it remains focused on a simple ambition: delivering an education where excellence is not just achieved, but elevated.
